Rachel was born in 1984 in Suffolk, England. Her early love of drawing and reading led her to study Illustration at Falmouth College of Art in Cornwall, where she recieved a 1st Class BA Honours Degree in 2007.

Rachel creates imaginative, nostalgic worlds in which to house her characters and the scenarios they inhabit. Using a combination of digital and hand rendered techniques to put her ideas to paper, she combines graphite drawings with collage, patterns and painted backgrounds in Photoshop. Working in this way gives the freedom to experiment with composition and design.

Currently based in South East London with her husband Jonathan, Rachel’s illustrations have been published in the Guardian Weekend Magazine, Portfolio Five and Magpie Magazine. She has also exhibited in London, Cornwall and Bath.
